Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) President Simone Kaslowski called for dialogue and a sincere and solution-oriented approach to tackle problems that stemmed from “mutual distrust in Turkish-American relations.”
“Tackling the problems in Turkish-American relations is extremely important for the national interests of both countries. There is a need to restore relationships by a long-term strategic perspective based on common principles and values and to re-strengthen institutional relations,” Kaslowski said, assessing the meetings he and his delegation held in Washington, the US TUSIAD official sources reported on Nov. 18.
Kaslowski and his delegation held meetings with representatives from the US Department of State, the US Department of Commerce and Trade and Turkey’s Washington Ambassador Murat Mercan in Washington on Nov. 15 and 16.
“Problems arising from mutual distrust in relations can only be resolved through dialogue with a sincere and solution-oriented approach,” he added.
